From Caterpillar to Community : A Detroit Month of Design

From Caterpillar to Community is made possible through the generosity of organizations, businesses, volunteers, and neighbors who believe in creating healthier, more connected communities. We are grateful for every partnership that has helped transform this backyard into a living classroom.

This event demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform an ordinary backyard into a place where families learn, neighbors connect, and nature inspires creativity. Every garden bed, pathway, and learning space reflects Foster Villa Foundation's belief that small changes can create lasting community impact.
